EASTERN Airways has announced a new route from Glasgow to the Isle of Man, less than two weeks after securing the future of the island’s routes to Northern Ireland and North East England.

The UK regional airline, which moved quickly last week to provide a continuation of links to the Isle of Man from Belfast City and Newcastle after Citywing’s liquidation, will now offer a daily weekday link from Scotland.

The Glasgow service will be introduced from May, using a 29-seat Jetstream 41 aircraft.

They will be on sale for the popular Isle of Man TT races, from 26 May to 12 June.

Fares start from £59 one way, including taxes and charges and are bookable through www.easternairways.com
