AWARD-WINNING Loch Lomond Single Malt Whisky is planning to “take-over” one of Scotland’s most iconic summits, Ben Lomond, on Saturday, May 20 to celebrate World Whisky Day.

The great World Whisky Day mountain climb will be kick-started in the UK by a team from the local distillery taking in the views from the summit of Ben Lomond.

To toast the global day of whisky, the Loch Lomond Whisky team will offer a free dram for everyone that reaches the summit of Scotland’s most popular Munro that day.

Anyone climbing to the summit at 974 metres (3196ft) on World Whisky Day, will be given a card that will be stamped at the top, which can be exchanged on their return to the base at Rowardennan car park for a free miniature.
