I HAVE sympathy with Graeme Goodall (Letters The National, March 16) – I too was disappointed at our SNP MPs who supported the Westminster line in condemning Russia, without conclusive evidence of its guilt in the Salisbury assault.

Until such guilt is confirmed the SNP should maintain the established, civilised approach to guilt or innocence, not follow the hysterical rantings of the Tory government at Westminster and the rabid outpourings of the right-wing media!

I can see an excuse for the SNP, in this case, following the herd – but don’t want them to become like, and mimic, the antics of this incompetent and deceitful British Tory government and their Labour supporters.

We don’t have to cast our minds too far back to find examples of Britnat delusion, fuelled by their feelings of exceptionalism, that allows them to ignore their own actions. George Galloway had them to rights when he said recently that the British set “the gold standard for hypocrisy”.
