I LIKE many others welcome the hosting of events such as the European Championships. And I, again like many others, expect there to be disruption in terms of getting around the city when such events are in full swing.
However, I expected it to be a bit better organised. Closing off 75% of the city centre with “road closed” signs and no active diversions screams of a lack of planning.

The most galling part of it, though, came when the @GetReadyGlasgow Twitter account said that, due to the cycling events taking place, the best advice was to “work from home”.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
