SPANISH all-girl band Hinds take their joyful DIY pop to Summerhall on August 16, as Nothing Ever Happens Here (NEHH) holds the candle for contemporary music for the third year.

Previously announced are Texan legends Lift To Experience (August 17), a trio who didn’t just redefine the word “epic” with their Bibically influenced 2001 double concept album Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, they blew the door, the bonnet and wheels clean off. A soul-shaking remastered version is out now.

Also at NEHH in August are Norwegian multiform artist Jenny Hval (August 20) and Charlotte Church, whose Late Night Pop Dungeon (August 25) will be a hot, if slightly soiled ticket for the festival’s final weekend.
