OZARK, NETFLIX
ON a lazy Sunday we were scrolling through Netflix to see which films they had, and almost cried with laughter at the silly things on display. That wasn’t the deal, Netflix! You’re supposed to entertain us, not suggest we watch Black Sheep, where “a genetic experiment has gone horribly wrong, transforming a calm flock of sheep into killers hungry for human blood”. (If you have Netflix, take a peep at the trailer. You’ll be in hysterics.) Maybe it was inevitable that the quality would dip as Netflix expanded and became less fussy about content, but this new series might correct the imbalance.

Starring Jason Bateman, who also directs some of the episodes, it’s about a family trip to the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, but it soon becomes clear the family aren’t there for a relaxing holiday. Bateman plays a financial adviser who must launder $500 million for a Mexican drug lord in order to pay off a debt.

DICTE – CRIME REPORTER, MORE4, 10pm
UNLESS you like golf or repeats, your options tonight are limited to crime and country music.

This is a Danish crime drama based on a series of novels by Elsebeth Egholm and, as you’ve guessed, it’s about Dicte who’s a crime reporter.

Tonight brings a new two-part episode, so you can dive in here if you’re new to this drama.

A 12-year-old girl, who should have been tucked up in bed, is taken along to a nightclub by her older sister, and then she disappears.

The frantic sister asks her friend Rose for help. Luckily Rose’s mother is the indefatigable Dicte and, in the middle of the night, she leaps into action to trace the missing girl.

All signs point to an abduction and two local thieves are suspected, but Dicte is also concerned about a local paedophile who’s been contacting girls online.
