The company began trading in 1946 under Frank McKeon and James King, two brothers-in-law who shared the same ambition to bring customers top fabric ranges at reasonable prices.

For those that struggle with the technical aspects of design but like to get creative with interiors, the store also offers a made-to-measure curtain service which allows customers to select their fabric,
style and lining and then let Remnant Kings work its magic to produce a one-of-a-kind set of curtains.
Lisa Darroch, of Remnant Kings, says: “We have more than 50 years’ experience in making bespoke curtains and our dedicated home consultants will visit customers in their own home. The vast range of fabrics we carry allows us to cater for all tastes and budgets. Customers select their fabric and we do the rest.”
Since its launch more than 70 years ago, Remnant Kings has undergone significant retail expansion; the brand now has five stores across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk and Hamilton. The most recent addition to the family is a flagship interiors store at 150 Howard Street in Glasgow.
The new store is home to more than 600 rolls of fabric as well as more than 20 different brands, including familiar names and labels that are new to the market.
