Churchill’s Secret Affair, Channel 4, 8pm
IT may seem like there isn’t much left to say about Winston Churchill. However, this documentary explores a less well-known chapter of Churchill’s life, looking at his relationship with Doris Castlerosse, a member of London’s high society and the future great-aunt of supermodel Cara Delevingne. She and Churchill had holidayed together four times in the south of France, and their history would come back to haunt him when he paid a wartime visit to President Roosevelt in the White House due to the fact that Castlerosse was in the US – and had a portrait with the potential to wreck his career.
