FROM the makers of Taskmaster, the show that proved there’s more to Dave than repeats of QI, comes this intriguing game show. It’s set simultaneously in the houses of five UK families, whose members tackle fiendishly fun challenges requiring skill, determination and intellect from the comfort of their living rooms over the course of a day. With different amounts of money up for grabs for each challenge, The Button lets the most successful household pocket everything they’ve won during the show. The losing teams get nothing.

AS the moody Belgian detective drama continues, there is consternation at the University of Antwerp when the body of respected but arrogant Professor Jan Verlinden is found slumped in a notorious student bar. He had developed quite the reputation with female students and had also recently come to blows with a hot-headed young philosopher. However, when Liese (Hilde De Baerdemaeker) digs deeper into the victim’s past she finds a much darker secret – one that could lead to his murderer.

Rivers of Blood: 50 Years On, Channel 5, 10pm

IN 1968, Conservative MP Enoch Powell made one of the most controversial speeches in British political history. His subject was mass immigration and his use of a Virgil quote would lead to his oration being known as the “Rivers of Blood” speech. As the debate surrounding immigration continues to stir up strong feelings, this documentary explores the history of race relations in Britain.
