CAROLINE Quentin and Piers Taylor’s search for impressive properties takes them to Spain, which has a tradition of flamboyant architecture. Their first port of call is the home of chef Fina, which is designed to resemble agricultural buildings with minimal decor.

Red Ape: Saving the Orangutan, BBC 2, 9pm
FOR the past decade, a team of frontline medics has been fighting to save Borneo’s critically endangered orangutans. Armed with cameras, the members of International Animal Rescue have documented their struggle as they pull apes from devastated jungles, give emergency medical care, rehabilitate and release the healthiest orangutans back into the wild. This documentary tells both the story of their work and how the orangutan – one of man’s closest wild relatives – has been pushed to the brink of extinction.

SPECIALIST trauma team Pete and Matt are called to the victim of a knife attack, carrying out urgent medical intervention at the scene in a bid to save the man’s life. Paramedics Christine and Chris start their day shift with a man who has collapsed after a suspected drug overdose. A 96-year-old reports that an elbow wound, caused by falling off his mobility scooter earlier in the week, will not stop bleeding, so crewmates Mark and Nieaal drive 20 minutes on blue lights in the dead of night to treat him.

Riot Girls, Channel 4, 10pm
GRACE Campbell, Sophie Duker, Jen Wakefield and Cam Spence carry out pranks, stunts and sketches. Their first programme as a collective is a half-hour pilot for a prospective series.
