BOOM bang a bang – it’s time to congratulate those who have made it into the final (even if some nations bought their way in – mentioning no names ... ) and decide which song we like best before casting our votes. No doubt there will be a few nul points because the overall standard can be a little questionable, but there will also be a few gems. SuRie performs the UK’s entry, Storm, but isn’t expected to trouble the top of the chart.
Britain’s Most Historic Towns, C4, 8pm
PROFESSOR Alice Roberts reveals the history of Belfast, the UK’s most Victorian city. She visits the shipyards that built the Titanic, gets locked up in the notorious Crumlin Road jail and takes a crash course in 19th-century female etiquette. Last in the series.
Live Boxing, Channel 5, 9pm
SAM Sexton defends his British heavyweight crown against Hughie Fury in Bolton. Norwich-born Sexton has only lost three times in 27 fights and his unbeaten record stretches back to 2012. He won this title by outpointing Scotland’s Gary Cornish for the vacant belt last October. Fury, meanwhile, is the cousin of Tyson Fury.
The Private Life of the Royal Academy, BBC2, 9pm
THIS documentary, shot over five years at the institution, which is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year, offers an insight into one of Britain’s most enduring cultural establishments. With unparalleled access, the programme illuminates the inner workings of the Royal Academy of Arts and reveals how it embraces the challenge of balancing tradition and innovation. Narrated by Olivia Colman.

We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
