JAMIE Oliver heads to Puglia to seek out the family recipes that make this region one of the hottest food destinations in Italy, inspiring his hand-crafted pasta with broccoli and tangy cheese pesto. In the streets of a whitewashed hill town, he discovers Italy’s answer to paella, before cooking up a seafood stew with chunky bread and garlic aioli. Also on the menu is orecchiette with aubergine, courgette and black chickpeas, and orecchiette with fresh broad beans, baby tomatoes, basil and aged ricotta.

Dwarfs in Art: A New Perspective, BBC4, 9pm

FILMMAKER, artist and writer Richard Butchins presents this intriguing documentary which looks at how dwarfs have been represented in art over the centuries, from ancient Greek sculptures to the photography of Diane Arbus, and what those images tell us about changes in society. The film explores how people with dwarfism have been intertwined with mythology, and how they have been depicted as figures of fun or as “ornaments” to be collected by royals, but also with deference and respect.

Bollywood: The World’s Biggest Film Industry, BBC2, 9pm

ANITA Rani concludes her exploration the world of Indian cinema by examining how a new generation of Bollywood stars is challenging the industry to keep up with the country’s unusually young population – more than half the 1.3 billion people in India are under 25. She also investigates why Indian cinema is so fascinated with having westerners on screen, and visits one of Asia’s largest slums to find out about a Bollywood trend to use the power of cinema to bring about social change.

Celebs on the Farm, C5, 10pm

NOT content with the latest run of Celebrity Big Brother, Channel 5 offers another reality series packed with famous faces. It takes eight townie celebs and packs them off for 10 days on a farm. The participants are TOWIE star Bobby Norris, country singer Megan McKenna, choreographer Louie Spence, Sandi Bogle from Gogglebox, former Strictly pro Gleb Savchenko, glamour girl Charlotte Dawson, British judo champion Ashley McKenzie and Lorraine Chase.
