Clubs

THE bank holiday weekend kicks off in earnest at the Sub Club tonight with Kompakt perennial Patrice Baumel’s appearance at Don’t Drop (£8/10).

Heidi’s show at Slam tomorrow (£8), Prosumer’s appearance at Subculture on Saturday (£12) and the release of GE by Lazaros, the second EP on the club’s in-house record label Nautilus Rising, are among the other highlights on a packed weekend for the Jamaica Street basement.

Elsewhere in Glasgow, German/Chilean showman Matias Aguayo drops by the Berkeley Suite tomorrow (£6/8) and Horse Meat Disco play the same venue on Saturday (£6/8/10).

Also on Saturday, German national treasure Lena Willikens, pictured, plays the CCA alongside longtime Glasgow cohort Andrew from Huntleys + Palmers to mark the impending release of Willikens’ contribution to H+P’s Chapter EP series.

Eats Everything and Denis Sulta are the top draws at Sensu’s Bank Holiday Sunday all-dayer (£15/25) meanwhile, which is at St Luke’s from 4pm to 11pm before the action moves to the Sub Club.

The capital has its share of bank holiday clubbing options too, with Notsosilent’s residents' party at Sneaky Pete’s (£5/members free) of particular note tomorrow.

London noisemonger Perc returns to Pulse at The Mash House on Saturday (£8), while a softer-edged but no less danceable set is likely from Running Back/Ghostly International affiliate Fort Romeau, who plays Tweak over at Cabaret Voltaire on the same night (£8/10).

Up in Aberdeen, meanwhile, the long weekend’s best options come on Sunday, with Bell Towers and David Barbarossa among the guests at Gnossienne & House Of House’s all-dayer at Rye and Soda Terrace (2pm to 2am, free).

Strictly 4/4 welcome Alan Fitzpatrick to The Tunnels on the same evening (£12/18).

All clubs run from 11pm to 3am unless otherwise stated
