A WIND farm which claims to be the most Instagrammed in the world has announced the winner of a national photography competition.
The competition, run by ScottishPower Renewables, gave budding photographers the chance to win a digital camera by entering their most impressive pictures of Whitelee Wind Farm, south of Glasgow.
More than 350 people entered, submitting a range of “awe-inspiring” images of the largest onshore wind farm in the UK.
Phyllis Buchanan, from Newton Mearns in East Renfrewshire, has been named the winner for her entry which featured her daughter Amaia, seven, in the snow.
She said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won. Amaia has been telling all her friends she’s famous. We love going up to Whitelee. It’s a beautiful part of the country and the kids love it.”
