YOUNG workers at Aberdeen Asset Management will give a local MSP an insight into the mark they have made on their workplace and the community.

As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, Aberdeen Central MSP Kevin Stewart will tomorrow meet a group that includes a five-strong team of apprentices who organised a series of events, such as a sponsored sleep-out to raise more than £14,000 for homeless charity Aberdeen Cyrenians.

One of the five, Rachel Adam said: “We’re looking forward to sharing the benefits we have found from entering the workplace directly rather than choosing higher education.”

The firm is now recruiting for a September intake of apprentices. The deadline for applications is April 2.
