ELISE Christie claimed a second gold medal in two days at the World Short Track Championships in Rotterdam on Sunday.

After winning the women’s 1500 metres final on Saturday, the 26-year-old (right) won in the women’s 1000m. It was the Scot’s second world title, after eight silver and bronze world medals.

She finished ahead of Marianne St-Gelais of Canada and Suzanne Schulting of Holland in third place.

Christie is building for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea after being disqualified from all three of her races at the 2014 Sochi Games.
