TEN-year-old Leia Brown got a taste of the Star Wars mania that inspired her name yesterday during a sneak-peak of a new exhibition dedicated to the film franchise.

The youngster was named in honour of Carrie Fisher’s character by parents Peter and Paula and was allowed early entry to the May The Toys Be With You show at Paisley Museum.

Opening today, the free event features more than 400 pieces of Star Wars memorabilia and collectables, including original cinema posters and action figures.

The show runs until May 29 and includes family activities and workshops. Leia said: “I love everything about Star Wars and I’m always dressing up as Princess Leia. I’m glad mum and dad gave me that name.

“I’m really excited about May The Toys Be With You and being chosen to launch the exhibition.”
