MASTERCHEF: The Professionals winner Gary Maclean (pictured) is to work with foodservice provider Brakes Scotland to support the use of Scottish produce.

Brakes, which serves more than 11,000 corporate and individual clients including hotels and hospitals, has more than 80 Scots suppliers providing 400 product lines worth an annual £70 million.

Maclean, who is a senior lecturer at City of Glasgow College, said: “It’s fantastic to see the work the company is doing to support Scottish suppliers, including collaborating with smaller suppliers. I’m really excited to be part of this.”
