FOR one day only readers of The National have the chance to secure a free map showing an independent Scotland in Europe to mark the historic day the Tories dragged our country out of the EU against its will.
We’ve teamed up with Dalkeith cartographers XYZ to give anyone who signs up for annual subscription to our digital edition – just £125 for the entire year – an EU-Brexit plastic coated map worth £29.99!
New subscribers will also get a bottle of Duppy Share rum if they sign up for a one-year subscription today, saving £153 on what you would normally pay.
To take up this great offer, go to www.thenational.scot/subscribe, click on our Full Digital Package, select a year’s subscription and enter the promo code MAP17.
Alternatively, give one of our team a call on 0141 302 7733 from 9am. Phone lines might be busy!
If you are already a loyal subscriber or a newspaper reader and you fancy getting your hands on map, you can get money off any Scottish independence map by visiting www.xyzmaps.com/maps/scottish-maps. National readers get £8 off our Scottish maps when they use promo code NATIONAL8MAPS and £10 off on orders of 3 maps and above using promo code NATIONAL10MAPS.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
