GLASGOW street artist James Klinge – who former worked under the alias Klingatron – puts the finishing touches to his latest artwork in the Saltmarket.

The Shawlands-based painter has now unmasked himself and is using his real name as he does a series of figurative murals such as his latest one called Sitting Woman in Black, that features the artist’s friend. He has already created a number of stunning murals across Glasgow, including a huge lion’s head on the Clyde Walkway which took three days to create.

The 32-year-old is also responsible for other large-scale murals in Glasgow, including on the walls of Mitchell Lane and a huge lion’s head on the Clyde Walkway.

While anonymous, just like his world-famous contemporary Banksy, Klinge focused on street art. His unmasking coincides with a change in direction and he will focus on fine art from now on.
