A SCOTTISH music fan has shared images of her blood-splattered hair after the fatal explosion happened “centimetres” away from her.

Abby Mullen, from Airdrie, shared graphic details of the incident on social media so that “people could know what happened”.

Describing herself as “very, very lucky”, she said: “You never ever expect these things to happen to you but this proves it can happen to anybody.”

North Lanarkshire schoolgirl Mia Davis was at the concert with her mum for her 15th birthday when they heard the “huge explosion”.

The Cumbernauld Academy pupil said she now feels “traumatised”, explaining: “I jumped up two rows and over a barrier as the exit we were meant to go out was where it happened. I was in a state.

“Hundreds of people were screaming and pushing each other.

“I still haven’t had any sleep thinking about it. I can’t believe we were sitting in the same room, singing the same songs and some of those kids are now dead.”

Carole Taylor, from Banchory in Aberdeenshire, took her son Jago to the concert with friend Alison Prichard and her daughter Carmen.

The children had been celebrating their birthdays when the group tried to beat the crowds to the exits.

Taylor said: “We decided to leave quite quickly after she played her last song because we knew it would get busy. We got down into the main foyer and seconds later there was a massive explosion right behind us.

“It shook our whole bodies. There was smoke and people were screaming. We just ran and ran and ran. We didn’t know what we were running from.”

She went on: “It just happened so, so quickly. I can’t believe anyone would target a concert aimed at families and children.”

Kerry Stewart and Terri Robertson, from Aberdeen, told how they were pushed into an anteroom as “hundreds of people” started running.

They told BBC Radio 5 Live: “We got pushed into a room with heaps of kegs of beer. Everyone was fighting each other to try and get out an exit but it was a dead end. It wasn’t a loud noise that startled us. It was just like a noise that you would have thought was part of the concert.

“Someone shouted ‘there’s the fire exit, run for safety’ and we just started running.”
