GLASGOW firm Thomson Wealth Management is all set for its next stage of growth following its relocation into new office premises and two key appointments.

The boutique fee-based advisors – created four years ago by Keith Thomson and Sonya Peace, who are former members of RBS’s private banking division – has moved into newly refurbished premises in a historic listed building in West George Street, in the city centre.

It has also appointed Paul Moore as a director and Christina McEwan as a paraplanner, both of whom join from a leading firm of Glasgow solicitors.

Thomson Wealth Management’s range of specialist services includes tax planning, investment management, individual pension planning, corporate employee benefits, family and livelihood protection/planning and mortgage sourcing and advice.

Thomson said: “The impetus for establishing the company was to continue to look after our clients and offer them a safe pair of hands following the dilution and subsequent withdrawal of the bank's service to private clients.

“We had established a level of trust and strong relationships with our clients and felt a responsibility to maintain these relationships and level of service, which the bank did not. Wealth management is a very personal business and our clients appreciate our personal approach.

“That has proven to be an attractive proposition – there are many people who are no longer receiving any wealth management advice from their bank.”
