TRIBUTES have been paid to a “really lovely” 14-year-old girl who died at the weekend following a party.

Police Scotland said they received a report that Zoe Bremner, pictured right, had died in Dundasvale Court in Glasgow at around 12.45am on Sunday.

Kay Dingwall, headteacher at Knightswood Secondary, said: “This is such tragic news and our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with Zoe’s family and friends at this extremely sad time.

“Zoe was a really lovely girl and will be sorely missed by all the staff and pupils at the school.”

A boy and a girl, both aged 15, who were also at the property were treated at the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after becoming unwell but have since been discharged.

Police say their investigations have revealed the teenagers were at a party in the Yoker area late on Saturday afternoon. They returned to Dundasvale Court in the evening and in the early hours of the morning they contacted emergency services.

The death is being treated as unexplained, with one line of inquiry focusing on whether the incidents may be drug-related.

Dingwall said: “We will do all that we can to help and support young people and staff, who will obviously be deeply affected by this saddest of news today and during the difficult days ahead.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie said: “This is very disturbing and our thoughts are with the family at this distressing time. We are currently carrying out extensive inquiries in relation to the incident.

“Our investigation will include whether any substances have been a factor in this incident. If anyone has any information which could assist our investigation, I would urge them to contact us.”
