RANGERS have wrapped up their ninth summer signing after finally completing the transfer of Graham Dorrans.
Manager Pedro Caixinha has been chasing the Norwich midfielder for weeks and has now got his man, in a deal understood to be worth up to £1.5 million.
His arrival on a three-year deal will provides Rangers with some much-needed cheer after this week’s shock Europa League exit.
The 30-year-old boyhood Rangers supporter flew into Edinburgh on Wednesday night to seal his move.
After spells with Livingston, West Brom and Norwich, the 12-cap Scotland international is now looking forward to returning to his home city.
Dorrans said: “It feels incredible. It has been a long couple of weeks but to finally get it over the line is an incredible feeling and I just can’t wait to get the boots on and get started.”
It has been a bruising week for the Ibrox side after they were sent tumbling out of Europe by Luxembourg’s Progres Niederkorn on Tuesday, and when winger Barrie McKay was allowed to depart for Nottingham Forest for just £500,000.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
