The British Geological Survey (BGS) recorded a small earthquake on Sunday morning a few miles west of Ullapool.

The 2.3 magnitude quake 'rocked' the town of Badrallach, with residents of nearby Camusnagaul, Loggie and Ardressie also reporting feeling the shaking.

Reports from the affected areas and shared by the BGS stated that mirrors and walls were 'visibly' shaking.

One resident told the BGS that "the whole house shook".

BGS stated that the earthquake was considered 'weak' but still strong enough to be felt indoors.

The earthquake hit the west Highlands at around 09:00 on Sunday.

Nobody was hurt.
