IS it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it…Theresa May?

Chaingun Art are launching the first in their line of "fully poseable morally reprehensible politician figures" this August, starting with Prime Minister Theresa Mayhem.

David Withers, the creator of the models, describes the origins of the Coalition of Chaos series as a response to Theresa May’s last ditch effort to maintain power following the Conservative’s recent disastrous election result.

Withers said: “I though this 'coalition of chaos' tag line that the Tories were pushing during their smear heavy election campaign was definitely catchy and close to something you'd hear in a 70s comic book but when the confidence and supply deal with the DUP was announced it was just delicious seeing their catchy slogan being turned back on them.

“This immediately made me think of the over the top cartoon super villain teams of my childhood such as G.I Joe's Cobra.

“If you think about it politicians provide good source material for larger than life cartoonesk villains and some of the members of the Conservative party/ DUP are ripe for satirical portrayal in this manner.”

Withers describes the poseable figure, which boasts of an "extreme u-turn action feature", as being a resin art toy with a bootleg aesthetic that will appeal to art collectors and fans of kookie art toys alike.

There will originally be only two very limited runs of the toy but, if popular enough, Withers may extend the line to include other notorious British figures.

The Prime Minister figure, which comes equipped with "weak and wobbly leadership skills" and an "NHS busting 'efficiency savings' arsenal", will retail at £40.00 plus postage. There will also be the option to purchase the original production artwork and figure for £450.00.

The collectibles will be on sale at http://chaingunart.bigcartel.com from the 20th August.
