NATIONAL readers in Ross and Sutherland baked up a real treat for a visit of the Wee Ginger Dug and Paul Kavanagh.

Our far-travelling columnist was in Dingwall last night for a talk, and was delighted to be welcomed by National-themed cupcakes!

Paul managed to send us through a couple of snaps, despite the ropy wi-fi, before talking to a room of dedicated pro-indy supporters about where the Yes movement goes next. The fabulous cakes, we’re told, were baked by Lorraine Carson, who is the co-convenor of Yes Ross and Sutherland, and has a wee business selling and making cakes in Alness called Cake Rocks.

We’ll definitely pop in next time we’re in town!
