IT'S that time of year once again when party conference season rolls around.

As the autumn leaves begin to fall, so too do the political anoraks and activists begin to gather to talk policy, strategy and ideas.

Here's a little look ahead to what to expect this conference season.

SCOTTISH LABOUR

Scottish Labour will not be holding an Autumn conference, however, the membership will likely be drifting down to Brighton from the 24th-27th September where the Labour Party's annual get-together will be taking place.

Corbyn will be speaking at the event which is expected to attract over 11,000 members to the Brighton Centre.

SCOTTISH LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

November 11th

Vine Venue, Dunfermline

The Scottish Liberal Democrats will be gathering in Dunfermline to debate party policy, and for a programme of fringe and training sessions. You'll even have the chance to meet some of the parties newly elected MPs, if you wanted to.

Meanwhile, the main Liberal Democrat conference, featuring Vince Cable and his hat, will have already taken place from the 16th - 19th September.

SCOTTISH CONSERVATIVES

Like the Scottish Labour party, the Scottish Conservatives will also not be holding a conference this Autumn. They will, however, be heading down to Manchester from the 1st-4th of October as part of the UK-wide conference.

Theresa May will be speaking, and no doubt reminiscing about when she recently had a majority government. With the party in a weaker position they'll likely be looking at ways to try shore up support.

Boris Johnson may or may not be in attendance.
