A TEDDY bear band, a colourful clown and Flowerpot Men Bill and Ben have been created from hay bales in a Scotland-wide contest.

A wedding couple, collie dog and selection of farm animals are also amongst the six finalists shortlisted by the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) from a 50-strong field of entrants.

Other outdoor artworks included trains, tractors and a model of the new Queensferry Crossing.

SAYFC members were challenged to include the Scotch Lamb PGI logo to coincide with an awareness drive by Quality Meat Scotland.

The project aims to raise funds for the STV Children’s Appeal, which supports young people affected by poverty.

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, trustee of the appeal, will now judge which of the “brilliant”

entrants is in a field of its own as she selects the winner.
