BOTH Clyde and Cowdenbeath are looking for new managers.

Clyde sacked Jim Chapman with the club eighth in Ladbrokes League Two, three points above basement side Cowdenbeath, whose boss Billy Brown has quit.

Former Albion Rovers boss Chapman took over from Barry Ferguson after the end of last season, after leading Annan to the play-offs, but has been sacked after winning two out of 10 league games.

Former Hearts and Kilmarnock assistant manager Brown succeeded Gary Locke after Cowdenbeath stayed in the league with a penalty shoot-out victory over East Kilbride.

And the Fifers revealed he had decided to step down following talks with chairman Donald Findlay after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat by Berwick.

Brown told the club’s website: “To be absolutely honest I just wasn’t really enjoying being back at the sharp end. I think leaving now gives someone else an opportunity to give it a go and also time.”
