The Repair Shop At Christmas

JAY Blades is one of the busiest men on TV, and yet you’ve probably never heard of him. He’s a furniture renovation expert who has popped up on Channel 4’s Fill Your House for Free and the BBC’s Money For Nothing. He’s also the main presenter of The Repair Shop, helping to bring damaged heirlooms back to life. Among the items in need of TLC in this special is a Victorian take on a jukebox called a Polyphon, a 1930s doll and a 100-year-old Nativity scene.

Jamie’s Italian Christmas

IF you’re a bit tired of the traditional festive dinner, Jamie Oliver has just the show for you. He draws inspiration from the snowy Alps of north Italy to create his most delicious Christmas Day yet. In a cosy log cabin, accompanied by mentor Gennaro Contaldo, he takes turkey and trimmings and gives it extra sparkle with an Italian twist.

IN this one-off at the Abbey Road Studios, Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton perform some of their biggest hits, alongside new tracks from forthcoming album Songs of Experience. The group also chat to Cat Deeley about their lives and there is footage of when they gave her a backstage tour before a concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

WHEN she was 17, Sarah Ivy was a happy teenager with a world of opportunity before her. Fast forward 10 years and she has two men, one of whom had been looking forward to his stag do, held captive in a prison cell. The links between the trio are eventually revealed, and the role the media has played in their lives becomes clear, in this revenge drama starring Faye Marsay, Nick Blood and Ryan McKen.
