NICOLA Sturgeon called Willie Rennie a "pathetic attention seeker" at First Minister's Questions today, after he claimed that she had lied during a television debate about the closure of a children's ward.

It all got a bit heated, and Presiding Officer Ken Macintosh had to step in and warn the pair of them to treat opponents with respect.

But the whole thing got us thinking. Was Rennie really a "pathetic attention seeker"? Could we find any other examples in our picture archives to prove or disprove the First Minister's claim?

Well, we suppose there was that one time he wrestled a sheep.

The National:

And that time he dressed up as a butcher and posed with a sausage moustache.

The National:

And remember when he narrowly beat Alex "Don't talk about my Davey like that" Cole-Hamilton at go-karting?

The National:

He also hired a Back to the Future DeLorean and posed next to it. No, us neither. Shame he didn't go back and warn Nick Clegg that going into coalition with the Tories might not be the best idea ...

The National:

And here he is sliding down a big chute with some small children. He looks terrified.

The National:

Big tractor. We can't remember why.

The National:

We can't even remember this one at all. Was it to do with sports funding? Who knows. Who cares?

The National:

Baking, this time.

The National:

Ah, nice of his former boss Tim Farron to show up for this one. This was back when he DIDN'T think gay marriage was a sin. Simpler times.

The National:

And we can't even find the one where he kisses an alpaca, but we're pretty sure it happened too.

Anyway, make your own mind up readers. Pathetic attention seeker, or serious politician?
