Who Wants to Be a Bitcoin Millionaire? – Panorama, BBC 1, 8.30pm
IN some quarters, Bitcoin is being hailed as the future of money. Unlike “real” cash, it’s not backed by a government or properly regulated, but it is exchanged and held digitally by users. That initially made it an attractive proposition to some criminals, but now Bitcoin is going mainstream and is being openly marketed as an investment opportunity. This edition of Panorama learns more about what Bitcoin actually is, travelling to Iceland and Silicon Valley to learn more about where the currency is made and who has already become rich through it.

JOHN Simm is essentially going head to head with himself this evening, as he stars in both STV’s new drama series Trauma and this star-studded four-part crime thriller from writer David Hare. Carey Mulligan also stars as DI Kip Glaspie, who investigates when Syrian refugee, Abdullah Asif (Sam Otto), is shot dead while delivering a pizza. Kip is intrigued to discover that his manager Laurie (Hayley Squires) sent Abdullah instead of her regular driver Mikey Gowans (Brian Vernel) to deliver the pizza to Karen (Billie Piper), the ex-wife of local MP David Mars (Simm). But the story gets even more complicated when Kip senses Abdullah’s family are hiding something and Mikey tries to warn someone about the investigation.
Julius Caesar Revealed, BBC1, 10.45pm
MARY Beard sets out on a quest to uncover the real Julius Caesar. She looks at how he became the autocratic ruler of Rome, the tactics of his military campaigns, his use of spin and PR, and the reasons behind his assassination on the Ides of March in 44 BC. The scholar also examines his surprising legacy right up to the present day.

With exclusive access to Singapore Airlines, the film reveals the lengths the airline goes to building a first-class suite for the super wealthy, spending $850 million over the course of four years.
