THE UK Government has published a document revealing the exact nature of its intended Brexit power grab on devolved nations.

The analysis shows where it wants powers returning from the EU which are currently exercised by devolved governments to go post-Brexit.

The document outlines 24 policy areas Westminster intends to hold on to despite disagreements with devolved administrations, with many relating to agriculture and food.

It also lists areas where the UK Government believes powers are reserved but which are subject to ongoing discussion, setting out that in areas such as state aid and protected food names, power would stay with Westminster.
