The National:

What's on the agenda for Scotland's press today?

The Scottish Daily Mail has decided to lead on yet another royal family story, before lambasting the House of Lords for being "out of touch". How ironic...

The National:

Isn't it strange how quickly some people - who never saw a problem with the Lords before they got in the way of a hard Brexit - have quite suddenly realised how undemocratic an unelected chamber is?

The Times have led with the news that the Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, has said that Brexit has already cost households £900 a year. Also, more royal family.

The National:

Meanwhile, the Daily Record have ran with another quote from Carney that may be of interest to indy supporters.

The National:

Carney claims that Scots could have kept the pound after independence after all. The question now is... would we even want to keep the post-Brexit pound anymore?

Also, more royal family.

The Scottish Daily Express have led with news that Scots are struggling to retire as they wouldn't be able to make ends meet if they did. Also, more royal family.

The National:

*cough* pensions are a *cough* reserved matter *cough*

Excuse me.

The i has also led with the news that working longer is becoming a reality of life in Britain. I'm sure it was meant to be going the other way...

The National:

And finally, our very own front cover.

The National has led with the oddly familiar sounding "summer of independence" line, as well as our big reveal of a Conservative party councillor's connections to the BNP.

The National:

You can read more about the councillor here, and more about the summer of independence here.
