A LAWYER is being treated for facial injuries after being stabbed outside Glasgow Sheriff Court last night.

The 63-year-old was attacked on Thursday evening in Carlton Place, with his attacker reportedly slashing him in the face with a knife.

Police sealed the street off.

The lawyer, who has not yet been named, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is said to stable.

A spokesperson for the force said: “”Around 6.30pm yesterday, a 63 year-old man was seriously assaulted in Carlton Place, Glasgow.

“The injured man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he is being treated for facial injuries.

“Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.”
