The National:

KEIR Starmer seems to have struggled to get much right these past few months.

From heaping praise on Margaret Thatcher to U-turning on who knows how many pledges, it now seems even a normal Christmas card is a step too far for him.

The Labour leader has been humiliated after eagle-eyed social media users spotted a revealing detail about his glitter bombed, festive Christmas card.

The card features a photograph of Starmer and his wife Victoria on a glitter-red background with the words “Merry Christmas” in front of them. Simple enough, right?

However, a number of social media users quickly noticed the original image appears to have been altered in a bid to make Starmer look that little bit taller then his partner.

The topic featured on Friday’s Good Morning Britain programme, where the hosts remarked “something slightly unusual” about the festive card.

The programme highlighted what appears to be the original photo which shows Starmer is in fact smaller than his wife and compared it side by side with the Christmas card.

Many social media users took to Twitter/X to poke fun at the Labour leader with one person commenting: “Starmer’s team making a terrible Christmas card because he wanted to look taller than his wife is incredibly Keir Starmer.”

Another joked this was another example of the Labour leader “misleading voters” while somebody else said it resembled a card from the “mid-90s”.

“Sold his wife short,” another social media user joked.

Many others meanwhile photoshopped together their own version of the card featuring none other than ex-PM Thatcher alongside Starmer.
