POLICE are searching for a missing Scottish woman who hasn’t been seen for a week.

Donna Patterson, from Midlothian, was last seen on Friday, March 22 in the Lingerwood Road area of Newtongrange, officers said.

The 38-year-old has not been seen since, and was reported missing to police on March 27.

Patterson is described as being around 5ft 5 inches in height with a slim build. She has long, red to auburn hair tinted with purple streaks.

Police said they have no information on what she could be wearing.

Officers also said they have carried out “extensive enquiries,” linking in with family and friends and checking relevant CCTV images, however, Patterson has yet to be traced.

Inspector Keith Watson said: “It is very unlike Donna not to be in touch with her mum and family and our concern is growing.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Donna or who has any information as to where she could be to get in touch with us.

“Her family is understandably concerned and just want her home safe.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1438 of March 27, 2024.
