A RESTAURANT ranked number one on TripAdvisor’s Highlands list has been put up for sale.

The Inver Inn Bar and Kitchen, found in the village of Inver in Easter Ross, is currently ranked number one out of 775 on TripAdvisor for “top restaurants in the Scottish Highlands” based on customer reviews.

The bar, restaurant area and beer garden in total can seat up to 72 customers.

The listing states that the current sale – open to offers of more than £290,000 – is “an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual/couple to operate in a prominent and well-established business”.

It is now known locally for freshly cooked seafood with a menu described as a “zesty mix” of Scotland, European and Asian cuisines.

Popular with tourists, it is surrounded by castles, distilleries and is close enough for a day trip to Loch Ness and visit Inverness which is 33 miles away.

The inn is also found near the North Coast 500 route as well as Tain and Royal Dornoch golf courses, which provides it with “year-round business”.

Listed by Christie and Co, the venue is described as offering a “an expansive food and beverage operation which the current owners have exploited that well having built up an excellent reputation for quality cuisine and service”.

The listing also states no capital expenditure is required as the inn is in “outstanding conditional both internally and externally”.

After a formal viewing, staff information will be passed on and the inn, bar and kitchen is owner operated.

It is understood the restaurant was also up for sale in 2023, having been bought in early 2021.
