THE world’s largest hands-on LEGO event of its kind is making its UK debut in the Scottish capital with millions of bricks on display.

Brick Fest Live will be making the trip from the US for the first time to the UK and will be hosted in Edinburgh at the Royal Highland Centre between Saturday, May 4 and Monday, May 6.

LEGO fans will be able to see life-sized models, race their own brick-built cars down derby ramps, and get the chance to do some hands-on building of their own.

There will also be a chance for attendees to help set a Guinness world record by attempting to piece together the largest Lego floor mosaic in history.

Michael Clapham, show producer, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring the smash hit Brick Fest Live all the way from the USA to venues in the UK for the first time ever.

“This is an event for all the family as well as hardcore LEGO enthusiasts.

“And if the hugely successful American events are anything to go by, tickets will sell out fast!”

The international event will also feature a marketplace where avid builders will be able to find rare collectibles not available anywhere else in the world.

There is also a chance to play in the brick pit with hundreds of thousands of LEGO pieces and there’s even a “glow zone” where you can play and build with bricks that shine under black lights.
