THE draw for the fourth round of the Scottish Cup threw up two all-Premiership match-ups with Hearts v Aberdeen surely the tie of the round. The winners in 2014, St Johnstone, will host Kilmarnock, while Cumbernauld Colts have been given a real incentive to win their third round match against Stirling Albion with the winner meeting Premiership side and current cup holders Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Highland League side Inverurie Loco Works must beat Annan Athletic in their third round replay – it follows a thrilling 4-4 draw between them – to host Hamilton Academical of the Premiership. Also looking at top-flight opposition are Formartine United and Cove Rangers, currently second and third respectively in the Highland League – a trip to Fir Park to face Motherwell is the prize for the winner of their third round replay. Tournament favourites Celtic have a long trip south to Stranraer, currently second bottom of League One, while Rangers will face either League One side Cowdenbeath or Arbroath who currently have the second worst league position in Scotland. The glamour tie is Hearts v Aberdeen, currently lying third and second in the Premiership respectively. Back in September, Aberdeen went to Tynecastle and stunned Hearts with three second-half goals for a 3-1 scoreline in their favour . Yesterday at Hampden, Scotland assistant Stuart McCall – who won the trophy three times at Rangers – helped draw the balls alongside Scottish FA president Alan McRae . Hibs have been given a tough tie at fellow Championship side Raith Rovers. Several junior sides remain in the competition with Wick Academy or Linlithgow Rose – their match on Saturday was postponed – drawn at home against either Forfar Athletic or Queen’s Park.
