St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright is optimistic they can maintain their impressive post-split form in their season finale against Rangers.

Saints have won three games out of four against their top-six rivals in recent weeks having finished last season equally strongly when they took 13 points from their five post-split fixtures.

Midfielders David Wotherspoon and Danny Swanson are suspended for Sunday's Ladbrokes Premiership game but Wright is expecting an exciting finale to the campaign.

Wright told St Johnstone's audioBoom channel: "We will get a couple of days' rest and we will freshen it up for Sunday. Obviously that was Danny's last game and David's last game for this season, so we will be able to change it for Sunday.

"Rangers again have sold out their ticket allocation so it will be a good atmosphere, I imagine a lot of Saints fans will want to come out and see us off for what's been a great season.

"A difficult game but if we play the way we have done, particularly since the split, we fancy our chances."
