ABERDEEN beat Kilmarnock 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw to earn a Scottish Cup semi-final against Motherwell at Hampden next month. Aberdeen goalkeeper Freddie Woodman was the hero, saving three Killie penalties.

Stephen O’Donnell had opened the scoring in extra-time for Killie after 96 minutes but Kenny McLean equalised from the spot seven minutes later.

In the Championship, Dumbarton beat Brechin 1-0, as did Dunfermline against Inverness, Dundee United won 3-1 at Queen of the South and Livingston versus Morton finished 1-1.
