AS far back as the Celts and Picts, people were coming to what is now Scotland. They have continued to come, bringing diversity and new cultures that have become an integral part of the beautiful tartan that is modern Scotland. That rich history also includes people from countries like Africa and Asia and their descendants. However, their stories aren’t always told as part of our collective Scottish history.

THE death of George Floyd sparked protests across the world highlighting the scale of racial inequality as well as calls for change.

AS we come to the end of Menopause Awareness Month the message is loud and clear – we need to remove the barriers women face. Whether it is more support at home and in the workplace, or education to raise awareness, women deserve more help.

EVERY year I look forward to International Women’s Day. It gives me the perfect platform from which to raise awareness of the changes which need to happen to ensure women can claim their rightful place in society.
