AN iconic multi-platinum rock band are set to host a gig in Scotland this year.

Crowded House will perform at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on Wednesday, October 9 as part of their Gravity Stairs UK and Europe tour. 

The band - which launched in Melbourne Australia in 1985 - was originally founded by Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, and the late Paul Hester.

 

Its current members include Finn, Seymour, Mitchell Froom, Liam Finn, and Elroy Finn.

They are known for their songs including Don't Dream It's Over, Weather With You, Fall At Your Feet, Better Be Home Soon, Something So Strong, and many more.

Since launching, the multi-platinum band have sold over 15 million records worldwide and scooped 12 ARIA Awards, an MTV VMA, and a Brit Award.

They have also generated billions of streams across all of their songs.

Tickets for their Glasgow gig will go on sale from June 23.
