A TORY MP has shown what he really thinks of Scotland’s elected representatives, by telling one to return to his homeland.
Nicholas Soames, MP for Mid Sussex, told Ian Blackford to “Go back to the Isle of Skye” as the SNP’s leader at Westminster rose to speak.
During a session in the House of Commons, the Speaker of the House John Bercow was introducing Blackford to begin speaking on the emergency debate he yesterday called for in Parliament.

But before Blackford could even say a word he was stopped in his tracks by the slur from the Tory benches.
Couldn’t believe what I heard from Nicholas Soames shouting “go back to Isle of Skye” as @IanBlackfordMP stood up to start Emergency #brexit debate. Shameful, contemptuous behaviour. Ian clearly getting under skin of the Tories & they are reduced to abusing him & shouting down

This is the same man who was forced to apologise after making "woofing" noises at former SNP MP Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh as she spoke in Parliament back in January 2017.

The MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber replied: “Mr Speaker, there’s the message to the people of Scotland from the Conservative benches, and the people of Scotland will reflect on the kind of ignorance and arrogance which is shown by honourable, so-called honourable members.”

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
