Here's some of the responses:
I propose withdrawing Hunt's Irn-Bru and fish & chip allowance next time he's in Scotland to promote the Union. https://t.co/yF7iX60Kw9

By the same reasoning, the Scottish Government should withdraw any cooperation with the "UK Government in Scotland" department, whose sole purpose is to promote the union.https://t.co/m7vvuq95xQ

Vladimir Putin there....... this is quite remarkable. Now actively squashing democracy. Britain’s governing system is truly at risk. https://t.co/16QmkWCP2m

Never underestimate how capable the UK Government is of shooting itself in the foot.https://t.co/5giI2ILWvX

Strange, the Foreign Office provided support for overseas trips for Boris Johnson when he was Foreign Secretary. He done a pretty good job of damaging the Union in that post. https://t.co/2a8gShJPHw

Ruling party of UK withholds resources from devolved administration because it doesn't like their politics https://t.co/AcMLJ6sjoA

I absolutely agree this is what she has been doing, but I absolutely disagree with the decision to withdraw support and politicise Foreign Office functions in this way. It's also tactically naive, bolsters the grievance narrative and pushes ScotGov beyond devolution competencies. https://t.co/K6aCosKmoe

Not a very smart move - @Jeremy_Hunt snips another thread holding the Union together. https://t.co/rtmc42VKL6

‘You can’t do that, we’re going to stop you doing this, we’ll not let you go there’. Do the Tories really believe they will endear themselves to Scotland with this type of approach? pic.twitter.com/THFpR7uZWW

They have well and truly lost the argument.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
