THE First Minister clashed with controversial broadcaster Piers Morgan earlier today during an appearance on Good Morning Britain ... but the run-in didn't stop there.
During the interview, Nicola Sturgeon spoke about the suspension of the Westminster Parliament, but faced repeated interuptions from host Morgan. He said it "doesn't matter" that the Scottish people voted to Remain.
After the episode, the SNP's official Twitter account posted a clip of Sturgeon's response accomponied by text saying Sturgeon "was told that Scotland’s democratic will 'doesn’t matter', and she was having none of it".

Piers Morgan being Piers Morgan, he just couldn't accept that he had lost the argument.
He quote tweeted the footage, adding: "And I was having none of Ms Sturgeon having none of it...." - truly, an inspiring and well-thought out rebuttal.
All it took was one line from Sturgeon to get him absolutely telt. She replied: "You certainly made the case for independence very well!"

Yes Nicola!
Scotland is tired of being told what it wants doesn't matter. Now, if the reports are correct and there is about to be a General Election announced, let's make sure this round of politicians elected to represent us at Westminster are all crystal clear on what Scotland wants. That way nobody can tell us it doesn't matter.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
