SCOTTISH hospitality venues and spaces used by community groups have been banned from putting out foods for communal sharing unless they are individually wrapped amid growing concerns around the coronavirus. 

Health Protection Scotland has published new guidance for hospitality venues - like hotels, leisure facilities, entertainment venues and community centres - ensuring "food such as crisps and sandwiches should not be left open for communal sharing" unless they are individually wrapped.

The body also advised routine cleaning of telephones, keyboards, door handles, desks and tables, crockery, cutlery and other equipment.

In other coronavirus news in Scotland, the Scotstoun sports campus, which was closed after it emerged the Scottish women's rugby team member confirmed to have Covid-19 had been training there, has been reopened following a deep clean.

And reports indicate that while Ireland's Six Nations clash against France has now been called off, Wales vs Scotland will go ahead of planned this weekend. 

An update on the number of confirmed coronavirus cases is expected this afternoon.
