I FEEL that the Scottish Government should not be afraid to take unilateral emergency powers on an ad hoc basis. This could allow them to close all camping/caravan sites and to temporarily ban wild camping in Scotland. Those not complying within two days can have any vehicle used confiscated.
If the selfish have no regard for others then perhaps they will have more regard for their £40000+ leisure homes.

I LIVE in a Scottish Borders village. Cars pouring into caravan park and people all milling about the village while we, the residents, are sensibly isolating and social distancing.
Our only small shop stripped and owner cock-a-hoop. Selfishness spreading faster than Covid-19. Can’t something be done? People are just not listening!

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
